You've had one or more cesareans and you're looking ahead to your next birth. "Once a cesarean, always a cesarean" is no longer the rule, and for reasons that are uniquely yours, you want to have a vaginal birth this time. Good for you! You are about to join the growing number of women who have planned for a vaginal birth after a cesarean (VBAC).

Many women want to have a VBAC because of the feeling that they missed out on an important life experience when they had a cesarean(just like me). They want to feel a baby move through and out of their bodies and into their arms. Other women and medical professionals know that labor is important for the newborn's adjustment to life outside mother. They also know that vaginal births are safer for mothers and infants than planned cesareans. Still others want a faster recovery from their births and to go home much sooner than when they had a cesarean. They want to mother and nurture their infants (and other children) without the restrictions that accompany surgical delivery. They want to avoid surgery and its risks and complications.

Why are there so many cesareans?

Researchers have listed many reasons for the high number of cesarean sections. These include a difficult or long labor, fetal distress, a breech presentation (when the baby is not arriving head first), placental problems, and other conditions in the mother such as toxemia, diabetes and severe bleeding, a greater use of technology such as electronic fetal monitoring and one or more previous cesareans. Some reasons are valid; others are not necessarily beneficial for the mother or the baby.

Major complications such as death following a cesarean are rare. Others such as infections are more common. When a cesarean is a possibility, you need to know about these risks. You should also find out about the possibility of even suspected long-term risks such as infertility due to scar tissue. At the very least, recovery from a cesarean section takes longer since mothers are usually in more pain and more tired afterward. Mothers also need more support physically and emotionally than those who give birth vaginally.

But a cesarean can prevent the pain of labor and birth.

That's an interesting thought, but cesarean mothers usually have much more pain after their babies are born. After all, a cesarean is major surgery where several layers of body tissue are cut open and then repaired. This certainly makes it difficult to move, walk, urinate, and to hold and feed a newborn for at least several days or even weeks afterward. Mothers often need much medication to cope with the constant pain following a cesarean. Gas pains, which can be severe, and a sensation of one's insides failing out are also quite common. Other discomforts include an itching or oozing at the incision area and a general feeling of exhaustion.

this Can be a tough time for mE to be away from my baby for any lenght of time.But it may also be hard to TRAVeL with My BAby right Now.She's BecOme used to his surroundings and famiLiar facEs, And she likes predictability.So Being on the Road can disrupt her sense of security and routine, especially when visiting a new place or meeting lots of strangers.
At her aGe right now, she dOesn't Grasp the concept of TraveL, But sHe wiLL Realize she's in an unfamiliar place.

As i Said N the previous weeks, she can roLL over from her tummy to her back and vice vERsa. This even Occur when she's sleeping. ALthough sleeping on her back is stiLL the optimal position.

As my baby sTarts becOming More Active,My baby's stronger neck and arm muscles is also allowing her to practice rolling over toward one side,A miLestone that Awe And aMuse ME! weLL, roLLing Over is Fun for my BAby Lolz! kaya halos malaglag na Uy:))haha!, But it is also a nerveracking for me!that's why i never leave her unattended on a bed or any other elevated surface...At this age, my baby is not only tolerates attention from others, she often initiate it.

it's hard not to idolize pediatricians. They're the experts on kids' illnesses. They must know exactly what to do when their own kids get sick, right?
One reason that babies get a lot of colds is that their immune systems are immature, making them more vulnerable to illness.
Since mY baby can't master nose blowing until about age 4, here are a few tips that the pediatrician gave me to help ease my baby's congestion:

Tip your baby's head back and squeeze over-the-counter saline (salt water) drops into his nostrils to loosen up the mucus. Then suction out the liquid and mucus a few minutes later with a rubber bulb syringe. If your baby is having trouble nursing with a stuffy nose, try this tactic about 15 minutes before a feeding. He'll then be able to breathe and suck at the same time. Apply petroleum jelly to the outside of your baby's nostrils to reduce irritation. (Don't use nasal sprays on your baby unless his doctor says it's okay. They may work temporarily but can cause a rebound effect in which the congestion gets worse with continued use.)

Elevate the head of your baby's mattress by placing a couple of towels between the head of the mattress and the crib springs. Sleeping at a slight incline may help relieve his postnasal drip, but don't overdo it. If your baby is a restless sleeper, he could end up flipping around so his feet are higher than his head, defeating the purpose of the elevation.

A new talent for rolling over

When placed on her stomach, My baby lift her head and shoulders high, using her arms for support. This mini push-up helps strengthen her muscles and gives her a better view of what's going on. She may even amaze you (and herself!) by rolling from her back to her front, or vice versa.

At sept. 27 (thursday) I went to My Ob and she want me to be admitted, but i refused b'coz i stiLL cant feel any pain or any signs of Labor sO i WEnt HOme.
At exactly 1am sept. 28(friday) i feel sOme pain but ignore it and just continue my sleep,b'coz i know after i gave birth i can no LOnger sleep weLL.waaaa:(( At 5am i took a bath, nagbihis and put some powder and lip gLoss (wow! as if hindi ako manganganak)haha...N Then I wake up my parents to bring me into the hospitaL. Accrdng. to my pelvimetry x ray i cant handle to have a normal delivery I nid to undergo c section talaga, but i stiLL tried it, but it was not successful(d kinaya ng Powers ko ang sakit)hahaha..dey put me n d operating rum at 3:30 pm
